Mediation
What is mediation?
Mediation is a safe, neutral place for people to work out their future practical arrangements for children, property and finances after separation.
What issues mediation helps with?
- Arrangement disputes regarding children, including holidays and special days, contact arrangements, childcare costs, contact with wider family, schooling and parental communication.
- Direct consultations with children
- Property and finance disputes, most commonly on separation or as part of a divorce process. They can mediate on decisions about the family home, other assets, maintenance payments, pension and debts.
Why try mediation?
The mediators’ aim is to get you through the divorce, separation and co-parenting process, while keeping costs and distress to a minimum, helping you explore what works best for you and/or your children, using mediation does not affect your legal rights.
